Employment question:

I am line-managing a person who suffers from anxiety (although the full extent of her illness or occupational health report has not been disclosed to me). After 5 months of accomodating her and making adjustments as advised by my managers and HR department, this person is still not performing. Now, she has filed a grievance procedure against me and I am having myself symptoms of bullying. I fear the employer will not reprimand her and I will have to remain in a position where I am afraid to manage her for fear of further complaints. What could I do at this stage?

You have to let the company investigate the grievance and you should be given the opportunity to appeal against it. I would need more specific information about how you feel bullied, specific incidents to be able to advise further. Please feel free to call and discuss this is detail -0161 474 7111.
