Family and relationships question:

My husband and I have recently seperated after 31 years of marriage, we have no dependant children. He is currently living in the marital home. If we divorce, would his inheritance which he will receive when his parents die, taken into account within the settlement.

Yes everything is taken into account. During such proceedings both parties are expected to disclose details of all their finances, this also includes future finances that either party is expected to receive. Obvioiusly it is not the only factor that is taken into account when determining the amount of settlement but it can make all the difference.
