Employment question:

have a new manager (4 months ago) and duties have changed whilst on a 5 year secondment with sister company been with organisation for 13 years not happy, no jobs at host employer what are my rights ? can I put in a grievance if so how will this impact in my role and for jobs externally elsewhere? So unhappy about how I have been treated - basicially did a good job on secondment and now feel used!

There are a few questions to ask such as did the job change with your consent? How much of your role changed and did you accept the changes without protesting?

You could submit a grievance. In fact, if the matter proceeded to Tribunal, there is a chance that any compensation you receive could be reduced by up to 25% for failure to lodge a grievance.

It is always difficult to raise a grievance especially as you still work there but this is sometimes the only way forward. It should not impact on future jobs elsewhere as the grievance is usually confidential and not mentioned in references.
