Accident claims question:

was watching my children at Thorpe Park playing (the Rush) when a bolt fell from the ride on my chest which was very painful and resulted in a bruise in my chest. It narrowly missed my head and my 3 year old year sold who was standing next to me. I reported the incident to the officials but they said no bolt was missing from the Ride and it is likely that one child in the ride may have thrown the bolt from high altitude during the ride. I don't believe their story and my chest is still hurting. Can I make a claim under "no win no fee"?

To win any claim you will have to PROVE the ride was not properly maintained and that the bolt came from it. The law assumes that the company did nothing wrong unless you can show they did. Did you retain the bolt (or photos of it)?

The other aspect is the value of the claim. Most lawyers would only accept a case on a no win no fee if you are likely to win more than £1,000 for your injury. That is because only then are legal costs paid by the insurers in addition to your compensation. What you don't want to happen is them getting you £1,000 and then taking it off you in legal costs!
