Accident claims question:

With my present house insurance I have legal expenses cover. Can I use this to fund a personal injury claim that started three years ago?

Your legal expenses insurers may refuse to provide cover if your claim is reported to them outside the period specified in your policy (usually a number of weeks or months). If your legal expenses insurers refuse to provide cover your solicitors should be able to offer an alternative means of funding your case, but be aware that there is a 3 year limitation period for personal injury claims - court proceedings have to be issued within 3 years of your injury or 'date of knowledge' otherwise your claim may be out of time.
