Employment question:

can an employer sack a staff member because money has gone missing? the police were called and i was arrested as my mobile phone was found in the area the money was taken from - a set up i believe, as i certainly didn't steal. the police bailed me pending enquiries, and 2 days later i received my p45 in the post?! no warning, suspension, discliplinary or reason given, also no notice, or covering letter 'dismissing me' - simply an envelope with my p45 inside. i have worked for there for 20 months, i''m devastated, do i have any options along the tribunal route?

This appears to be a case where you could lodge a Tribunal application. Please call for further guidance on 07515 485 803. There are time limits to adhere to and they are strict so you will need to call soon.

I trust that you requested for representation at police station for such an allegation. If not, please call or email me on 07795456985 or jennifer.browne@noblesolicitors.co.uk.
