Employment question:

I have been dismissed by way of redundancy because I have cancer I believe. My employer is using issues that arose while I was of ill and previous to that. Can I claim unfair dismissal?

An employer can dismiss for a number of fair reasons including redundancy. However, they cannot dismiss based on your cancer. There are deadlines to comply with and ways of extracting specific information from them as to how they selected you for redundancy. I would really require more information before advising. please feel free to contact me for a free consultation either at the office number or my business mobile 07515 485 803.
