Good Lawyer Guide's response

While no case is guaranteed to be successful, the chances depend mainly on the strengths of your case versus the strengths of the opposing side. Unfortunately, the success of court proceedings can sometimes turn on which judge is sitting on the particular day, and who the judge believes has the strongest argument on the key issues involved.

It is crucial in preparing your case that you have all the evidence in support of your defence to back up each argument on the issues. However, if you lose on the day because you feel the judge’s decision was unjust, you may have the option of an appeal. Your solicitor will be able to give you advice on this.
