Family and relationships question:

I've been in a same-sex relationship for 19years and my partner and I have recently split up; we have never been married or entered into a civil partnership; during the relationship he was the larger earner than me; we have acquired properties in three countries (UK, NZ and SA) some of which are in his name, others in my name, and some in both our names; he is of the opinion that he should get more than half of the properties, something of a 30/70% split, and he is basing his argument entirely on his financial interest, with no regard for the contributions I have made over the years (all the properties, bar one were my idea to buy, I also designed and built one of them). What to do? What are my rights? I cannot show an equal financial interest to him, but I have certainly contributed over the years in other ways? There's also the matter of these being in different countries; I know that in NZ there is a 50/50% split as we are seen as being in a de facto relationship, but not sure about the UK an SA. Thanks!
